Congratulations to Ms. Mendez for being selected in California for the "Let's Eat Healthy Leadership Award" for all of her hard work behind the scenes to bring wellness, healthy, nutrition, and much more to our students, staff, and families. She does so much for our school community by connecting families with resources, arranging for our Feeding San Diego food pantry and San Diego Food Bank Food 4 Kids programs, and nutrition classes for parents. She provides regular wellness updates, organizes yoga for staff, promotes healthy eating habits, helps recycle milk to reduce waste, and provides proactive lessons in classes about social emotional development and whole-child wellness.
